But, it depends on multiple factors, such as the quality of paint you used before, the climate conditions you live in, and the maintenance you perform, like cleaning the walls. Sun rays can damage your exterior painting up to a great extent. It will fade your complete wall and damage the texture. This is why you should consider repainting your wall if it shows signs of sun damage. This must be done as soon as possible. UV rays from the sun can discolor the paint over time, making even new walls look old and worn. If your walls are directly exposed to sunlight for long periods of time, they need regular inspection for signs of damage and should be repainted as soon as possible if present.
Peeling paint indicates that there is a serious problem with the wall underneath; it can be moisture or water damage. This will be a sign that the initial painting coat was not done very well or the primer was not applied properly. You have to keep in mind that every paint formula is not the same, but as a general rule, for oil paints, the ideal temperature for applying is considered between 40 and 90 degrees F. While for latex-based paints, the degrees range between 50 to 85 degrees. But, if you are going for some more advanced paints, which are specially formulated to dry at lower temperatures, you can go for as low as 35°F.
